Yellowknife Airport (YZF) ensures the safety and efficiency of its operations through several key plans, including the Apron Management & Safety Plan, Winter Maintenance Plan, Wildlife Management Plan, and Reduced Visibility Operations Plan. These plans, developed in collaboration with airport stakeholders, outline procedures for managing staff and passenger safety, and support safe air traffic movement and airport functionality.

Additionally, YZF maintains strict protocols for restricted area access, including the issuance of Restricted Area Identity Cards (RAIC) and Temporary Restricted Area Passes. Airport personnel and tenants must adhere to these conditions to ensure safety and security. For more information on access requirements and related procedures, refer to the Pass Control Office and associated forms.
